Little Monday present

Couldn't resist it, even though it is Winter and not Autumn. I diden't really needed it, but sometimes you have to buy yourself a nice little present :-)

Funny Dutch hotel

Last night I stayed in a very special hotel in Zaandam. Very Dutch, very original, very pleasant and funny. The hotel looks like a pileup of traditional Dutch houses, all grafted together in bright greens and blues. No green fields around the hotel but that really doesn't matter. A perfect place to stay if you are looking for a nice hotel nearby Amsterdam!

Kleine fabriek

Again it was nice to visit the international children's trade fair Kleine Fabriek in Amsterdam. I was pretty impressed by Anne Claire Petit! She developed BIG crochet objects like vegetables and fruits. Would love to have a big radish for in my living room!

Bakker made with love was on the fair as well! This little french brand has a lot of nice products! For children and adults... I bought myself a wallet a while ago. And the lamps are still on my wish list!

Cloudy day

There is something with clouds... maybe I am in the clouds because this year is going to unforgetable! But a lot of designers are inspired by these great soft white forms as well. Like Joon Jung. Lovely cloudy stools.

And Donna Wilson... I wouldn't mind to have a cloud like that above my head.

Red sweet cakes

Today I baked these beautiful red cakes. I found the recipe on Designsponge. They are not as perfect as the ones below but they taste absolutely fabulous. I added some raspberries... sweet and fresh at the same time, yummie!

Sometimes you find something on the web that you never have seen before. I did today! I am so happy with this little amazing movie made by Mandy Smith! Everything is made of paper, so little and perfect. A short story inspired by moving in Amsterdam. I'ts going to be an unforgetable year! Sjoe Sjoe is going on holiday, ooh lala! I planned a big trip to New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Indonesia and Mongolia. And of course I'll keep you posted with great inspiration and things I like. Can't wait to go... even more after seeing the blog of Studio Home! They exclusively post on creative talent from Down Under.
