Roald Dahl is one of my great heroes! His books are über creative, full of fantasy and they really stimulate imagination. I found this quote today and I totally agree with him. I think we could have been good friends...

Shoebox village

Let's make a lovely colourful city out of shoeboxes must Ana Serrano have thought. It really looks fabulous! A mix of Mexico, Amalfi coast and Buenos Aires. that is a great village to live in!

Magic and Knitting

Two things I want to share with you today... I visited a great company named Koppert Cress. They are specialized in cresses; seedlings of unique plants, which each have their own specific effect on the senses. Very innovative, healthy, new and they showed me what the future will bring. I have tasted the most wonderful flavours. They are true food magicians!

And today a friend showed me this great knittingbook of Donna Wilson! If you are a knitter, you really should knit these great little figures yourself. How cute!

Folk & Flora

In one of my earlier posts I told you about Darling Clementine. They are absolutely fabulous. Hereby some new finds. I found it on their great Tumblr site full of retro & scandinavian stuff. They introduced a new serie named Folk & Flora, a good name and great new design. They have been inspired by Scandinavian homes and brick a brac.

Dutch history

Last weekend I visited the exhibition about 100 years of Dutch advertisements classics in the Beurs van Berlage. If you are in Amsterdam you should visit. It is nice to see how adverts really reflect the history of a country. I was very inspired by seeing all the ideas and designs.

Beautiful hairday

I would like to wear my hair like this every day! I really have to practice for a while before I can do this by myself. Tips are very welcome.

Happy birthday to me

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with beautiful spring weather, yummy cakes and sweet friends. It was very pleasant! :-) Next year I will make these beautiful paper flowers for my party, just like Pom tree.

Life's like a box of chocolates...

Today I made a box of beautiful chocolates! They are looking great and taste absolutely fabulous! Most proud on the white praline with gold shiny powder on top.
