Vivaldi by Mari Kanstad Johnsen

Inspiring work from Norwegian illustrator Mari Kanstad Johnsen. She made these illustrations for Vivaldi a little children's book. In a poetic and beautiful way it portrays a child's experience of a bad day.

Sjoesjoe market: Anthropologie flower dress

A new topic, Sjoesjoe market. I bought this perfect flower dress of Anthropologie: Tropical Jacquard Mini dress / size 12. Beautiful fabric and a beautiful print. But it's one size to big for me ( no worries, I already ordered size 10). So it's brand new and unfortunately I can't return it anymore. Let's give it a try :) Perhaps one of you would like to buy this lovely dress? Please send me an email if you are interested.

Maybe you're a little curious what kind of give away I made for the winner of the 100.000 views celebration? :) The recipe: a bit of Sjoesjoe & Moleskin , some stamps, a black pen, masking tape, stickers and chalk marker. All together a good combi! Have fun with it Joyce :)

Radish with a smile

Marije Vogelzang is a very talented food designer from Amsterdam, who explores the ways food impacts directly our memory associated with the taste or smell, ways to communicate differently with food, and to change negative associations to positive ones. On her Facebook page I saw this picture the other day. Marije created this little smiling radish with lasercut... so cute!

DIY Confetti tablecloth by Ohhappyday

I have told you before about one of my favourite blogs Ohhappyday. Every now and then I'll have a look and I'm always surprised by seeing her DIY ideas. Lovely and simple. Like this tablecloth... oh my!! From now one having a birthday breakfast will be so complete with this perfect piece of dotted fabric.

Ceci est une ciseaux... ou une oiseau?

Ceci est une ciseaux... ou une oiseau? One of my birthday presents was this little scissor. Love it. I'll keep it with al my other stitching accessories. I know my grand mother has one like this as well. Wonder who thought up this beautiful idea to combine the bird and the scissor.

Lanterfanten festival

I really like Lanterfanten ( Lanterfanten is a great Dutch word which means: slow down, enjoy life, don't rush and give space for impulsivity + creativity). And after my world trip I decided that I should give some more time for this great phenomenon. So together with a friend we created Lanterfanten festival. A new fresh festival in Amsterdam with the ultimate " sunday feeling"! A festival where you'll be surprised on food, creativity, season & inspiration. The first edition will be on sunday 20th of May. It will be held on a fantastic location somewhere in the fields of Amsterdam: Rijk van de Keizer. It will be a great day, that's for sure. Like us on Facebook and treat your self on a daily Lanterfant boost and stay tuned about all the latest news.

Found it, want it, didn't buy it

Do you know that feeling of really want to buy something and in the end you didn't do it? Well that happened to me with this beautiful bright and colourful table cloth of Vossberg.  Luckely I have some pics...

Bric-à-brac flower card game

I found this beautiful flower card game on the market the other day. When I see something like this, somewhere hidden on a table full of old stuff, my heart is making a little jump. It was there waiting for me all the time... I really appreciate second hand treasures a lot. You never know what you'll find, it's unique and most of the times with a sweet price!

Localilo in Copenhagen

Let's end this week with a Localilo report about Copenhagen. A few must do's in this cosy city.

* eat: The Royal cafe. A very quirky and lovely place where you can eat delicious Smushi! Smushi's ( created by using the two words " smorrebrod" and "sushi")  are mini Danish sandwiches in a sushi look. This cafe is a mix of food and a shop so that basically while shopping you could enjoy some coffee or food. Mmm...

* shop: Gronlykke, a lovely shop in Copenhagen, tucked back away from the main shopping street called Stroget. Two shops, next to each other, full of beautiful products, fabrics, accessories and all our favourite brands like Rie Elisen Larsen, Rice, Housdoctor, Ferm living etc. etc. A paradise!

* visit & shop: Norrebro is a cool, lively, etnically diverse and edgy neigbourhood where nice things happen! Hip cafe's, lot's of vintage fashion and a good night life. But the real reason you should go is that you can find a few great second hand shops, Antikhallen, to find yourself some Danish vintage for less. I bought this great tin :)

Hay House by Hay

I totally loved Hay House by Hay. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, Hay House is one of very few stores located upstairs in a 2nd & 3rd floor apartment. Decorated with beautiful furniture, Danish design, accessoires and art. You can strol around for hours and you'll find in every corner something great and new. Love this brand: simple, colourful, vintage and modern at the same time.
