Tips 'n Trics #9 Favicon

Ever heard about a Favicon? Well, almost every cool website or blog has one. It's that cute little symbol on the left side of your http:// web address. And I fiiiiiiiiinally found out how to make it and add it to your blog!

Go to this website * Design your little symbol or upload a symbol ( think about a shape, animal, fruit, letter) * Download the Favicon * Go to your layout page * Click on Favicon ( in Blogger layout it's top left)  * Upload your Favicon * ( It might take some hours before you see it!) Voila, easy does it!! 

Nordic Art

A few months ago I saw this beautiful poster somewhere in a train station. It really gave me a spring feeling in the middle of a cold winterday. Nordic art is an exposition in the very bright, colourful and modern Groninger Museum. And yesterday I finally took the train to the northern part ( really it isn't that far...) of the Netherlands to see it myself! In one word: beautiful!! A mix of splendid landscapes, portraits and scenes from everyday rural life. Next time I'll just go to see more of the building, even the stairs is art in itself. 

Localilo Amsterdam #7

Haarlemmerstraat & Dijk, my hood. I'm sooo happy to be surrounded with the most beautiful shops and cafe's in town. This long street always surprises me. There's alwaaaaays something going on... New shops, pop-up stores, bars and restaurants. A good mix of fashion, living and coffee spots. A little update today!

* eat: Vinnies Deli on the Haarlemmerstraat! One of my favourite spots to stop and treat myself on a nice coffee, granola with fresh fruit, carrot cake... lunch, salads... actually on anything... it's lovely to be there and to enjoy their beautiful vintage furniture! Feels like home. Love it.

* dinner: Restaurant Lof. I really wonder why this restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in town. Before you know it you walk by and don't even see it. But, hidden behind the bright blue door and plants in the window is a lovely restaurant. They serve 3/4 course menu with beautiful, delicious and original food... yam!!

* pop-up: 24 Flower. A new online flower concept. Fresh flowers direct from the floriculturist ( nice word) But they pop-up too! This time on the Dijk. In the pop-up store you can choose between different qualities: First Class Fresh, then you can at least enjoy your tulips for 10 days. But if they are less fresh, you pay less as well. Different labels, different qualities. Like!

It's summer at HEMA!

When I received the pictures of the new HEMA summer collection a smile appeared on my face... Soooo proud on my styling buddies! They have done such a great job and designed a beautiful new collection. I was very pleased to see the new school stuff, because I helped designing on this collection too :) But the best part of it is that most of these products are already in store... and affordable yesss! My ultimate favourite: the inflatable tompouce!

Let's celebrate

Today is my birthday! I'm going to party all day long. :) Looking forward to the Bloggerslunch at 12:00. Will be a feast to meet lot's of dutch Bloggers and to enjoy a nice lunch together. And... tonight, I will celebrate with my friends, drinks and some good music. J Have a love 8th February!

Pintrends #5 yellows & corals

Just a nice colour moodboard today: mustard yellows and pinky corals go so well together! Love to pin these colours lately... I find this trend in living, photography, patterns, paper craft and fashion. Always nice to see when something pops up everywhere! :)
